【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforproductssoldastankmixadjuvantsforusewithagriculturalproducts.PartAprovidesadeterminationofwhetherthepHmodificationcharacteristicsoftheadjuvanttestedmeetthedefinitionofanacidifier,alkalinityagent,orabasicblendinTerminologyE1519.PartBprovidesameasureofthebuffercapacityoftheadjuvant.ThiscanbeusedtoestimatetheamountofabufferthatwillberequiredtokeepaspraysolutionatthedesiredpH.OtherpHstandardscanbeused(seeTestMethodE70)aslongasthepHsmeasuredarenotoutsidetherangeofthestandardsused.Ifsamplesofthematerialtobeusedinaparticularapplicationareavailable,thefirstmethodcanbeusedtodeterminewhatadjuvantrateisrequiredtoobtainthedesiredpH.TheabilityofanadjuvanttoadjustthepHofaparticularsystemwilldependontheinitialpHbeforeaddition.ThesecondmethodcanbeusedtodeterminetheamountofanadjuvantrequiredtochangethepHofaquantityofspraysolutiontotherequiredvalue(seeNote1).Note18212;Manyacidifiersandbasicblendsalsoarebuffers,sothepHchangedoesnotprovideausefulmeasureofbuffercapacity.1.1ThesetestmethodscoverdeterminingifanadjuvantmeetsthedefinitionofanacidifierinTerminologyE1519.1.2Thevaluesstatedinbothinch-poundandSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
