【摘要】:Thisguideissuitableforsamplingheterogeneouswastes.Thefocusofthisguidanceisonwastes;however,theapproachdescribedinthisguidemaybeapplicabletonon-wastepopulations,aswell.Sections4-9describeaguideforthesamplingofheterogeneouswasteaccordingtoprojectobjectives.AppendixX1describesanapplicationoftheguidetoheterogeneouswastes.TheuserisstronglyadvisedtoreadAnnexA1priortoreadingandemployingSections4-9ofthisguide.AnnexA1containsanintroductorydiscussionofheterogeneity,stratification,andtherelationshipofsamplesandpopulations.Thisguideisintendedforthosewhomanage,design,orimplementsamplingandanalyticalplansforthecharacterizationofheterogeneouswastes.1.1Thisguideisapractical,nonmathematicaldiscussionforheterogeneouswastesamplingstrategies.Thisguideisconsistentwiththeparticulatematerialsamplingtheory,aswellasinferentialstatistics,andmayserveasanintroductiontothestatisticaltreatmentofsamplingissues.1.2Thisguidedoesnotprovidecomprehensivesamplingprocedures,nordoesitserveasaguidetoanyspecification.Itistheresponsibilityoftheusertoensureappropriateproceduresareused.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
